We had a fantastic stay at Scalby Grove Cottage. The hostess was friendly and always available when needed. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. We loved the location, which was conveniently located on a bus route if we needed it. The added touch of beers, biscuits, and bread was a lovely surprise that made us feel welcome. The cottage had a lovely garden and was beautifully decorated with great furnishings. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept like a log. The location was excellent, just a short stroll into the village. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras such as bread, milk, and biscuits.
We felt that the cottage could benefit from more crockery, especially serving dishes for preparing our own meals. it would have been convenient to have waste bins in the bedrooms.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and furnished, with a lot of attention to detail. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I had the best sleep in a while. The location was also great, with easy access to both Scarborough and Whitby. It was nice to be able to explore both cities during my stay.
There were a few minor inconveniences that could have been improved. It would have been helpful to have a toilet downstairs, as going up and down the stairs constantly was a bit of a hassle.
